b'IN MEMORIAM Charles Ricky Salenius | Ricky was a gentleman through and through. Ricky was always kind and helpful to friends, peers, and staff. He had an infectious smile that could brighten even the darkest days, and was an artist who enjoyed painting both at home and at The Efron Center. Ricky would paint from the heart and it showed in his works. There wasnt a day that went by that he wasnt laughing and making others laugh with him. In the morning and at the end of the day, he would salute all of us as if to say, Hey, there or See you later and it never felt like Good-bye. ECE is a better place for having had the pleasure of knowing Ricky. He is truly missed by all who knew him and remembered fondly every day. From all of us, at NEV, see you later friend!Christopher Curran | Chris had a quiet, strong spirit about him. He was a friend to all who met him, and the comedian in the crowd. Chris loved to share his humor with anyone he could. If you knew Chris, you were often greeted with the Three Stooges greeting, Broken fingers; why I oughtaAnd if he thought you had a good sense of humor, he would decide if you were Moe or Larry, because he always considered himself Curly. It is hard to think of Chris without thinking of his love for his favorite things, like Cookie Monster, Mountain Dew, Spaghetti-Os, apple pie, Altoids, and MyTV38. Chris ability to lighten any situation with his well-timed comedy is missed every day. He touched many hearts at The Efron Center and his jokes and kindness are remembered always and never forgotten.John JJ Jorge | John Jorge was known as JJ to all who loved him. During JJs time at ECE, we all watched and supported him in awe as he accomplished significant personal growth both socially and in skill-based activities. He came to us strong in his own right, and we have been so proud to see him expand on his strengths, emotionally and physically. JJ was an inspiration to all. He had his share of challenges, but he met and surmounted them with humor and perseverance. JJ was someone who had an amazing way of getting to know and build meaningful relationships with friends and staff. When he shared his wry smile and unique sense of humor, you knew you were in trouble. JJs most special bonds existed with the people whom he trusted to help him enjoy his favorite activities while pushing him beyond his comfort zone. For a relatively quiet and unassuming man, JJ had a larger-than-life personality, and his absence has left a huge hole in the heart of everyone that knew him. He is sorely missed by his ECE family. 42'
