New England Village is happy to have volunteers who want to teach an art, music, fitness class or other activity. NEW ENGLAND VILLAGE Testimonials “The Zumba class was a lot of fun. Deb did an amazing job keeping everyone engaged and suggesting alternate dance moves based on an individual's comfort levels, physical abilities, and skills. I left every class wanting to come back the next week and, based on the attendance in the classes, the other participants must have felt the same way.” – Renee Donahue, Community Zumba Class participant “If you want to feel good, top to bottom, inside and out, be an active participant or coach on the New England Village Special Olympics Unified Sports basketball team. I did this last year and it’s hard to put to words the pure joy of watching these athletes succeed and have fun. I can’t wait for the new season to begin.” – Jim Smith, Unified Partner “Over the past few months, my daughter and I have had the pleasure of taking part in yoga at New England Village. Being able to take part in a class that supports people of differing abilities has allowed my daughter and me to bond in a way that other programs have not. My daughter feels confident because the instructors and participants are welcoming and supportive of her, and I feel blessed to have been able to bond with Kelly by doing an activity that we both enjoy! I am so grateful to New England Village for extending an invitation to the community to take part in this amazing program. While the health benefits are obvious, the bonding experience Kelly and I have had, and the warmth of everyone involved, is priceless.” – Chantelle Kavka New England Village 664 School Street Pembroke, MA 02359 Telephone 781-293-5461 Fax 781-293-4782 www.newenglandvillage.org
