Traditional Group Homes – provide 24-hour awake or asleep overnight staff, depending on support needs. We currently operate 17 modern and beautifully maintained homes in a picturesque and thoughtfully planned community in Pembroke, MA. 2. In-Home Support Services – provide for less than 24-hour staff support in an individual’s own or shared apartment. These customized services are designed to provide needed supports that allow individuals to remain safely in their own home without 24-hour staffed supervision. 3. Shared Living Services – this residential option supports an individual living in a care provider’s home in the local community. New England Village recruits, screens, trains and delivers on-going support to caregivers so they can meet the identified needs and goals of the person served. Our supports are designed to build self-esteem by developing confidence and skills in an atmosphere of acceptance, dignity, and respect. The men and women supported by NEV’s Residential Services Program share more than a support need — they share a clear sense of purpose and belonging — all in a place they call home. New England Village is financially stable and therefore able to commit to providing a continuum of care, so individuals served by our Residential Services Program and their families can count on a lifetime of support. Home – it’s just as much a feeling as it is a place, and each of us defines it in our own unique way. Some people enjoy living with a group of friends, while others relish their independence. Through our person-centered approach and in collaboration with the person being served and their family, New England Village (NEV) staff takes the time to understand what services provide the most meaning and satisfaction to the person seeking support, and then work to make it happen. Our Residential Services Division provides a variety of housing and support arrangements for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This diversity of offerings allows us to be flexible and responsive to individual changing needs, personal preferences and interests. All of our residential support options are designed to ensure individual control, foster meaningful relationships, encourage personal growth and well-being and result in a high quality and dignified life in the community.
