Weather Course
As part of the Day Enrichment Program’s “Bits & Pieces” offering, Sean Carr presented a course on weather. The group discussed the different types of weather, the sun and water cycle and the tools used in its prediction. The class participants even built and experimented with a few of these tools including a weather vane, wind anemometer and rain gauge. The assignment for the last day of class included a weatherperson role play utilizing a map of Southeastern Massachusetts with varying weather conditions for forecasting purposes. The group really enjoyed this exercise, especially the part where they were videotaped!
