Clay Exploration
Class Participants
explored how to make their own bowls and cups forming clay with hand
building techniques such as “pinch” and “coil.” They also learned how to
attach and bond pieces of clay together using “slip,” which made these
beauties leak proof! All the pieces were glazed and fired in the Sollar
Wellness Center kiln. The guest instructor/artist was our very own Graphic
Designer, Judy Randall. Judy demonstrated and assisted participants in wheel
throwing techniques. Everyone had an opportunity to try using the
wheel which elicited a lot of smiles and laughs, despite the extremely messy
technique!!
