DEP Clay Class Creates Ceramic Pieces
for Valentine’s Day

Participants of this DEP (Day Enrichment Program) class had lots of fun rolling out clay to make heart-themed gifts for Valentine’s Day.  Once the clay was rolled into a uniform thickness, a texture plate was placed atop and then pressed into it to create a surface design.  Next, heart shaped cutters were used to create picture frames, heart shaped pins and pendants. All the pieces will be dried, fired and either glazed or painted in time for Valentines Day gift giving!!
