Laura joined
the staff at New England Village in 1994 and developed the unique Day Program
known as The Living Center. After successfully managing The Living Center
through ten years of growth and change, Laura accepted the position as Director
of Training and Staff Development. Laura is committed to developing the
knowledge, skills, and professionalism of our staff. She works closely with
Division Heads, Managers, Direct Care Staff, Day Program Staff, and staff at
the Sollar Wellness Center to provide trainings for a variety of purposes:
trainings required for licensure; for new staff to provide a necessary level of
expertise; and for experienced staff to be informed of advances in the field and
to maintain the highest quality of service provision. In addition, Laura serves
as Coordinator of Aging Services. She brings to this position twenty years of
experience and training in the field of aging and human services. Laura assists
with projects as New England Village determines how best to meet the changing
needs of residents as they age. |
