David
Sollar, a native New Yorker, came to the Village
in 1989. Mr.
Sollar is Jewish and his religion is most important to him. He thinks deeply about life and
reads his Bible daily.
Maintaining a close connection with his family, David visits them
often in New York
and Florida. Some of his other interests include
nature walking, riding his bicycle, and going to the
movies.
His
artwork delicate and
complex demonstrates order and simplicity. The viewer discovers the subtle hues and bold statements layered within Mr. Sollar's work.
