Joan Murray came to live at the Village in 1992.  She worked until 1999 and then decided to pursue other interests.  Joan volunteers, and attends music, art, and fitness classes.  She is very close to her family, visits often, and delights in taking care of her nieces and nephews. Joan works on computers at The Living Center, and enjoys weekly trips to the library.  She excels at all sports, and loves to conduct during music class.  Always willing to help out, Joan lends a hand whenever there is work to be done.

In art class, Joan seeks out the entirety of each piece she creates. She pushes color to the outer edges by blending and reworking the materials on the paper's surface. Totally engrossed in her work, she pauses only for a moment to reflect on her accomplishment and to share a beaming grin.
