Arnold Feigenson, from Gardner,
MA is one of the first
residents to move into the Village in 1973. He was also the first
resident to retire from work in 1993.
In so doing, Mr.
Feigenson pioneered a new way
of life with time to pursue his interests,
visit with family and friends, take some classes, and keep up with
exercising. Mr. Feigenson's avocation is reading and libraries. Each
week he spends time in at least two of his favorite local libraries.
He has visited the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and
has raised funds to help support
the Pembroke library.
Occasionally, Arnold takes time out from his literary schedule to
paint. Arnold's mother was an artist and Mr. Feigenson enjoys taking art
classes. Mr. Feigenson uses detail and structure, mixed with a certain
amount of whimsy in his artwork.
A figure dancing or a butterfly in
flight, both demonstrate
Mr. Feigenson's ability to capture and frame a
moment.
