Matthew Bowen came to the Village in 1984. In addition to working full time, Matt has volunteered at a local florist shop for many years. He is a masterful gardener and each year puts in an impressive vegetable garden. All Summer he generously supplies delicious vegetables to his lucky friends and neighbors. Matt is very close to his family and visits them often in New Hampshire. Matt is an expert in all things pertaining to the Wizard of Oz. Matt also enjoys listening to music and playing instruments. Matt celebrates each holiday and seasonal event with a drawing in watercolor or crayon. Faithfully beginning each rendering in pencil, Mr. Bowen organizes each subject thoughtfully on the paper with precise detail. A careful viewer will see the multi-faceted spectrum of hues among what appears to be simple, singular, watercolor strokes.
