This year’s Special Olympics Senior Sports Classic kicked off
on Friday, October 12th at the Sea Crest Resort in
North Falmouth with opening ceremonies and a Mardi Gras dance. The
next day, athletes from all over participated in several different
events at Bourne High School. NEV athletes had trained hard
in the areas of race walking and horseshoes and it all paid off
when they

collectively
brought home 10 gold, 8 silver and 4
bronze medals.
Congratulations to everyone who participated. Special thanks
go out to Coach Carol and Coach Brian and all of the staff who
were helpful and supportive throughout the event: Neal Beckenstein,
