Halloween Dance was “Out of this World”

(Page 1)

Our annual Halloween Party was held on Friday, October 26th.  The theme was “Out of this World.” Approximately 85 residents and staff came dressed in costume to celebrate this favorite fall holiday.  DJ Doug Lauzon had everyone dancing to songs like “YMCA,” “Sweet Caroline” and “Greased Lightning.”

The costumes this year were extraordinary. It was quite obvious that a lot of effort went into making some of them.  House 4 residents dressed as the characters from Alice and Wonderland, complete with the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat.  Watson House residents

and staff came dressed as characters from The Wizard of Oz.  Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and Scarecrow were accompanied by Toto, Glinda the Good Witch, a Munchkin and a few wicked witches.

Costume Contest winner were: Scariest Male – Phil Soucar (vampire); Scariest Female- Cyndi Gerardi (witch); Most Original Male – Dan Kneafsey (Tin Man); Most Original Female – Rita Limauro (Beta fish); Best Overall Male – Patrick Murphy (Pirate); Best Overall Female – Michele Rubin (Cowardly Lion); Best Staff Costume – Michele Wood (scarecrow).
