The Boys and Girls of Summer
Summer and softball just go
hand-in-hand. Friendly competitors Team NEV and Cardinal Cushing
met in July for a competitive, yet congenial game of softball.
After going through the lineup twice for each team, the score was
“tied” and the teams met mid-field to shake hands and congratulate
each other on a game well played.
Game highlights included: Mike
Hackmeyer’s golden glove performance at short stop; Stanley
Kaitz’s superb pitching skills; Sue Ray’s amazing speed on the
bases, and Donna Burke, Jenn Steinberg and John Koechlin’s power
hitting at bat.
