The
Day
Enrichment Program held an Intro to
Photography class led by
Instructor Susannah Locketti. The students learned the art of
digital photography and photographed the NEV campus during the
Spring season. The course
culminated with a photography exhibit
entitled “Through Our Eyes”. The exhibit was dedicated to those
who are visually impaired, because a camera can give unlimited
vision to those without. Case in point is Heidi Ward, a
photographer in the class who is visually impaired and was able to
successfully take pictures using the instructor’s visual
description of what images were on Heidi’s viewfinder. Heidi’s
photo entitled “Vines” was one among many favorites in the art
exhibit. Heidi’s photo and Nichelle St. Jean’s “Flower Garden”
photo were also featured in an art exhibit at the Pembroke Public
Library.
We hope you
enjoy viewing the outstanding work done by our photographers. |
